Our Route through Western Mongolia
Originally we wanted to start riding in the Altai mountains in the west of Mongolia. But we couldn't get horses there, so we had to fly to Tosontsengel near Uliastay. Then we rode south over the Hangai mountains to the white lake near Tsetserleg, from there north to Moron, along the Delger Moron river, then on towards the Russian border into the Taiga. We finished our trip by riding along the Hovsgol Lake to Hatgal where we sold the horses.
